The Chicago Bears will see their first preseason action this Saturday (tomorrow) versus the Kansas City Chiefs. Ryan Poles will watch the team he put together face off against his former team to start his career. I know it’s preseason, but I’m sure Poles would love to see a strong showing from the Chicago Bears.

This will be a major test and give fans a glimpse of what to expect from this team in 2022. Obviously, preseason is very vanilla from an offensive playcalling standpoint. It’s not like we will see some crazy game being called as Luke Getsy probably doesn’t want to show too much. However, this team needs to practice at game speed and get used to the new playbook. We should expect to see at least some things and the hope is that it looks better than what we have seen over the last few years.

These are the five must-watch Chicago Bears to watch in preseason Week 1

Matt Eberflus has made it known that the starters will see some playing time. This philosophy has been questioned, but we saw the last regime do the opposite most of the time, and Eberflus made the best statement saying playing starters in preseason depends on where the team is at. This team is new and in a rebuilding phase. In a year or two, if things are going well, we may not see any starters in the preseason

Zach Wilson limping off tonight will make everyone think otherwise, but that could happen in any game or even at practice. When you have a young team learning a new system on both sides of the ball, you cannot replicate game speeds in practice no matter how hard you try. Well, we will get a chance to see at least some of the starters tomorrow, and here are the five guys we should be most excited to see.
