Tajae Sharpe looked good enough to lock up a Chicago Bears roster spot

Late this past week, Tajae Sharpe and Justin Fields started to build up a bit of a connection. This was possible as Byron Pringle and N’Keal Harry are both out with injuries. Well, that connection bled over into the preseason game.

Sharpe was a guy I originally had making the final roster, but had him on the bubble fighting for a final spot as of late. After seeing him in today’s game and coupling that with the fact N’Keal Harry is out until at least Week 5, Sharpe should be a lock to make the final roster now.

If you missed it, here is one of the catches made by Sharpe today. He also had a solid catch that was thrown a little high by Trevor Siemian, but he went up and high-pointed it.

Now, Fields threw a great ball, putting it where only his receiver could catch it. However, the fact that Tajae Sharpe made that catch was unbelievable. I don’t see how Sharpe doesn’t make this final roster. He is a guy who finds ways to stick around with teams. I wouldn’t go out and draft him in fantasy or anything, but he should make an impact at times this season.
