When you look at the offensive side of the ball for the Chicago Bears, there are two glaring needs: offensive line and wide receiver. The Bears truly only have one major wide receiver (Darnell Mooney) barring an emergence of one of their current wide receivers, specifically Velus Jones or Byron Pringle.

In addition to their short-handedness at wide receiver, there isn’t much available next year in free agency. The top wide receivers next year are JuJu Smith-Schuster, DJ Chark, Jakobi Meyers, and other older wide receivers who are out of their prime. Granted, any of those three would be solid additions, but none of them are top wideouts in the NFL.

The Chicago Bears need to target a wide receiver in the 2023 NFL Draft

On the other hand, the offensive line market isn’t much better, but it is better. It’s headlined by Elgton Jenkins, Mike McGlinchey, and Andre Dillard. Again. not great, but Jenkins would be a dream signing here in Chicago given his familiarity with offensive coordinator Luke Getsy.

A wide receiver core entering 2023 with Justin Fields throwing to Darnell Mooney, Velus Jones, and a top-ten pick rookie wide receiver would be a dream room. They desperately need to target a star wide receiver early in the 2023 NFL Draft. Here are three players they can target to combat this need.
