2. Dazz Newsome

Dazz Newsome may have the most up-and-down preseason of any player on the Chicago Bears. He started as a punt returner, which could be valuable, but then muffed a punt. Still, from there, the team dialed up an end around for him, showing that they wanted to see how he performed on a designed play.

The performance was 50/50, but the opportunity shows that they want him to do well. Considering the Chicago Bears depth chart, there is going to be a chance for him to make the roster.

Even with Tajae Sharpe and Dante Pettis playing well, if Newsome can show he is a different wideout with the ball in his hands and that he can be trusted on special teams, then the team will be interested in keeping him.

If he struggles again, it will be easy to see the team defer to the veterans. This is a make-or-break game for Dazz Newsome.
