Chicago Bears Players to Watch: Larry Borom, OT

Another player who we should be watching is Larry Borom. Borom was also drafted last year, but he wasn’t selected until the fifth round. Borom hasn’t seen as drastic of a rollercoaster ride as Teven Jenkins, but he too has seen his fair share of time with the backups.

Most recently, both Teven Jankins (RG) and Larry Borom (RT) saw time together with the ones. Clearly, Luke Getsy was not lying when he said the offensive line has yet to be determined. The coaching staff has been shaking things up on the right side, but it appears that Cody Whitehair and Braxton Jones are locked in on the left despite Jones’ struggles against Robert Quinn in practice on Monday.

Will Larry Borom prove himself worthy enough to start over Riley Reiff going forward or will Reiff show us why Ryan Poles signed him to such an incentive-based deal? I am not as high on Borom as many others, but I do believe either Jenkins or Borom starting would be a better long-term solution.
