The Chicago Bears will play their starters in the preseason finale, but we are not sure how long. Still, this game is much more about getting a final eye on end-of-the-roster players or competitions for one spot than it is to see whether Justin Fields will be good this season.

With that in mind, even if the starters do not play there is plenty to look out for. What are five positions where things could still shake out based on the preseason finale?

5. Wide Receiver Depth

The wide receiver depth chart is starting to sort itself out after the team came into training camp with a jumbled mess. As of now, it appears as though five spots are locked up with Darnell Mooney, Equanimeous St. Brown, Byron Pringle, Velus Jones, and Dante Pettis.

After their recent cuts, this leaves Tajae Sharpe, Chris Finke, Nsimba Webster, Kevin Shaa, and Isaiah Coulter all still on the roster, but not locked into the top five.

The assumption has been that the team will keep six wideouts, so it opens one spot for these players. Sharpe was looking like the favorite but missed week two of the preseason with an injury.

Unfortunately so did Finke, so both are going to be must-watches this week with their status on the line.

In the case of Shaa and Coulter, it may be less about whether they make the roster and more about whether or not they will be on the practice squad.
