Cornerback might be the most difficult to predict for the Chicago Bears

I had a tough time with the cornerback position. The obvious players to be kept include Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon. Gordon is going to play the nickel most of the time but will kick to the outside when not in the nickel. These two are your CB1 and CB2. Who stays behind them though?

Thomas Graham is a guy I love but he hasn’t been able to stay healthy. I am not sure how they will handle his situation. It could be similar to the N’Keal Harry situation where they keep him on the 53-man roster and then hope to add one of their backend guys back to the roster if Graham goes to injured reserve with a designation to return.

I am following the Colts’ 2021 53-man roster when it comes to the defensive backs and I have the Chicago Bears keeping five cornerbacks and five safeties. Kindle Vildor started as the starting CB when Gordon was out early in OTAs, he will slot in as the CB3 and be on the outside when Gordon is in the nickel. Tavon Young is a lock for me too. This leaves the last spot for either Graham or Lamar Jackson. I prefer Graham but I’m not privy to the details of the injury situation.
