The Chicago Bears are only going to keep two quarterbacks on the roster

I don’t think anyone could mispredict this position group. Justin Fields showed everyone what he could do in a primetime game vs the Browns last night. He finished the night with only two incompletions. He completed 12 of 14 passes for 156 yards and three touchdowns.

The offense looked fantastic with the starters on the field. Luke Getsy has proven to be a solid play-caller already through the preseason. Let’s hope it carries over into the regular season. We have seen Justin Fields used correctly. It is a breath of fresh air compared to what we saw from the last regime. Play-action rollouts, crossing routes, different depths vs guys in the same spot, screen plays to multiple positions that are actually blocked successfully, and the list goes on and on when it comes to how this offense looks legit.

Justin Fields is starting to look like the quarterback I expected him to be. He is obviously going to be the QB1 on this team. Trevor Siemian is going to be the QB2 and it does not make sense for the team to waste a roster spot on Nathan Peterman. Just like that, the team has locked in two of their 53 players.
