2. Jack Sanborn

This is another one that may have been locked in before this game, but we saw it come into place for sure. One thing that had to be notable during this game was special teams. The starters were playing, and that meant across the board.

The fact that Sanborn was starting on most special teams units, and was on all coverage units shows that he is a player that special teams coordinator Richard Hightower is going to go to bat for.

Beyond that, you saw that he got onto the field above both Demarquis Gates and Caleb Johnson. He was out there with Matt Adams and Joe Thomas, two players who have been locked into the roster since the start of training camp.

He did not light things up this week, but during the first game, he was playing against players who were not going to make NFL rosters. This week, we saw him when David Njoku was still on the field, so while the performance was not as notable, the status means that he is making the team.
