5 Chicago Bears who may have locked down a roster spot in preseason finale
1. Kindle Vildor
You can probably add in Lamar Jackson as the other name here. Jaylon Johnson was one of the few starters who did not play this game. It appears he got into the good favor of the coaching staff rather quickly, because he joined Eddie Jackson, Roquan Smith, and Robert Quinn as the only defenders not to suit up.
That left Kyler Gordon in the slot, where he always has been, and then Jackson and Vildor on the outside. This was rather interesting to note.
Gordon has hardly played outside, so you have to assume that he is going to mainly play in the slot during week one. That probably means that Tavon Young is the backup slot, although he has not played yet.
With two slots locked in, they need the depth on the outside. That means that both Vildor and Jackson should make the roster. Beyond anything, it locks in Vildor, who played well, and has been taking starting snaps throughout the summer.
