The Chicago Bears are likely going to be a team that is looking hard at the waiver wire to fill the back end of their roster this season. One position that the team is linked to often is wide receiver. This also is a position that may end up being the most available. It is not often that teams have excess offensive linemen, but teams usually have wide receivers.

With that in mind, what are five situations that will have to be monitored?

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers were helped by Julio Jones wanting to play with Tom Brady and now they have a loaded group at wideout. Beyond that, it appears as though Chris Godwin is going to return in the first six weeks of the season, which means he will take up a roster spot.

With Jones, and Godwin joining Mike Evans and Russell Gage, the team has four wideouts locked in. It leaves names such as Breshad Perriman, Tyler Johnson, Scotty Miller, and Jalen Dardon on the back end of the roster.

They are certainly not going to keep all these names and end up cutting two or more of the noted receivers above. Perriman did not work last season, but the other three could all be options on the roster. In the case of Miller and Dardon, they could bring more return game value as well as more speed than Dante Pettis. Who Tampa Bay cuts may show us which wide receivers Chicago is interested in.
