The Chicago Bears should consider Bobby Evans if he is released by the Rams

There are rumors that Bobby Evans might be on the way out in Los Angeles. The team likes what they have from a depth perspective and Evans could be the odd man out. Evans is a former third-round draft pick from the 2019 NFL Draft. He is an athletic interior guard who could even push Teven Jenkins for starting reps. In fact, if Jenkins is still on the trade block (I’m doubtful), then someone like Evans could help fill that void.

Evans is only 25 years old and could be a part of the immediate future. In 23 games, Bobby Evans started only eight of them. He was the Rams starting right tackle for seven games in his rookie year and then only one in 2021.

What makes Evans a guy I think Ryan Poles could consider is his discipline. In 564 offensive snaps and 97 special teams snaps, Evans has only committed two penalties. Evans isn’t going to wow anyone, but he’s a proven depth piece who has starting experience.
