5 players the Chicago Bears should add after rosters cut to 53 players

Players the Chicago Bears Must Consider Adding: Dennis Kelly, OT
A surprise cut on the deadline was Dennis Kelly formerly of the Indianapolis Colts. The Chicago-native has been in the league since 2012 bouncing around to various teams, but since 2018, he has always done a solid job in a reserve role and as a regular starter in the NFL.
Kelly most recently was in Green Bay with Luke Getsy for the 2021 season in a reserve role. He started four games last season and played solid as he only allowed one sack. Before that, he played in Tennessee for five straight seasons where in 2020 he started all 16 games not allowing a single sack and only giving up two penalties.
The Bears have two young, risky tackles currently in Braxton Jones and Larry Borom starting currently. They do have Riley Reiff as the swing, but it would be in the Bears’ best favor to bring in another veteran to back up the young guys. Kelly has made a career in the NFL as mainly a swing tackle as well who can play both right and left, so having him and Reiff would be extremely beneficial as more insurance for this young offensive line.
