Ranking Chiacgo Bears 2022 Practice Squad
3. Sam Kamara
Sam Kamara is another player who excited many during the preseason. He is a second-year UDFA from Stony Brook. So, he is a Ryan Pace UDFA, which meant fighting the uphill battle. He was going to struggle to make the roster, but after his preseason it started to become a possibility.
When he was cut, the fact that he was an edge rusher may have enticed some team to take a stab at him, but fortunately for Chicago, they saw him back on the practice squad.
Once again, it has to say something that he made it back as a Ryan Pace player. Those players are getting purged left and right, and he was able to prove himself to the new staff.
Because it is such a new staff, it is fair that he did not make the roster, but he still just saw them claim Kinglsey Jonathan, a rookie UDFA who makes it over him. That has to hurt. Jonathan has to make the active roster for three weeks as a part of the claim, but after that, the team could start to shuffle things. That will be the time to keep an eye on Kamara.
