14. Lachavious Simmons

When the Chicago Bears decided to play Lachavious Simmons over Zach Thomas in the preseason finale we thought that it may have been a sign that the team is preferring him to their rookie. However, what we learned was that the team is more than willing to let players earn their role.

They felt Simmons had a chance to make it, but needed to see more so they played him more. He did not do enough and got cut. However, for a player that was not a Ryan Poles draft pick, you thought he may end up elsewhere, especially after Chicago showcased.

He did not see interest and came right back to the team that drafted him. Simmons is valuable because he can play tackle and guard. However, no team having any interest in his services is pretty telling when it comes to the athletic lineman with versatility.
