Ranking Chiacgo Bears 2022 Practice Squad
10. Trevon Coley
We have another veteran with Trevon Coley, who has bounced around the NFL a bit. Still, Coley had a great preseason and there was a thought that he could end up making the roster. He did not make it initially, and when the team claimed Armon Watts, all chances of him sticking around were gone.
However, one interesting note to keep in mind is that as of now Coley is staying and Khyiris Tonga is not. The team initially kept Tonga, but let him go when they added Watts. Tonga has not caught on anywhere, but Chicago seems okay with keeping Coley over him.
This makes sense in the fact that Tonga was a Ryan Pace draft pick, and Coley was a Ryan Poles signing. Coley fits the 4-3 fronts more, while Tonga is a 3-4 nose tackle. Coley also has more versatilty.
Still, he is a veteran without much more upside to offer. We also could see him quickly lose his role if Tonga looks around and wants to come back to Chicago.
