As always, the key to every game will be who wins in the trenches. While the Chicago Bears won their first game, they are still working to prove many of the doubters wrong, especially when it comes to their offensive line.

Below you can see which players will be matched up against each lineman the most.

Green Bay Packers to go against Chicago Bears left tackle Braxton Jones

Rashan Gary 39.3% (19.2% pressure win rate)

Preston Smith 37.7%  (18.5% pressure win rate)

Jonathan Garvin 16.4%

Kingsley Enagbare 6.6%

During week one Braxton Jones saw most his work against Samson Ebukam. However, the 49er did move their lineman around, and he saw plenty of pass rush attempts from both Nick Bosa, and Drake Jackson.

On Sunday, it will be a variation as well. While Robert Quinn rushes against the left tackle 70% of the time, the Packers split 77% of the workload against left tackles between their duo of Smith and Gary.

Both of them had a high success rate against both tackles for the Vikings. Smith is more about power, and Gary has a combination but is much more athletic overall than Smith.

Packers to go against Larry Borom

Preston Smith 45%  (18.5% pressure win rate)

Rashan Gary 41.7% (19.2% pressure win rate)

Kingsley Enagbare 10%

Jonathan Garvin 3.3%

Considering the duo splits reps on one side, they also do it on the other. Still, they split 86.7% of the rush attempts on this side, as both Enagbare and Garvin saw more work against the left tackle.

Borom saw Nick Bosa on 30 of his 54 snaps with a defender over him. Still, he had one of the cleanest days, and it was when Bosa went against Jones that we saw his sack.

Packers to go against Sam Mustipher

Tederal Slaton

Kenny Clark (25% pressure rate, 20.8% win rate)

Jarran Reed (4% pressure rate, 4% win rate)

The Packers do not put a man right above center often, and there are typically other responsibilities that come from that role. Still, Slaton, Clark, and Reed all spent at least a snap lined up over center last week. Clark had a good time against Mustipher last season, so this will be a matchup to watch.

Packers to go against Cody Whitehair

Jarran Reed 31.6% (4% pressure rate, 4% win rate)

Kenny Clark 27.6% (25% pressure rate, 20.8% win rate)

Dean Lowry 25% (18.8% pressure rate, 12.5% win rate)

Slaton 11.8%

Devonte Wyatt 3.9%

Cody Whitehair had a bad debut to the 2022 season, losing early to Arik Armstead, and Javon Kinlaw a bit later. Still, of the fourth primary rushers that Green Bay displays, he should see the least viable one in Jarran Reed. To be fair, Reed is a great run defender, but you can see from his win rate that he is much more about clogging lanes than getting upfield.

Packers to go against Teven Jenkins/Lucas Patrick

Kenny Clark 26.8% (25% pressure rate, 20.8% win rate)

Dean Lowry 23.1% (18.8% pressure rate, 12.5% win rate)

Jarran Reed 22%  (4% pressure rate, 4% win rate)

Wyatt 11%

Slaton 11%

This will be a huge test for Teven Jenkins. Jenkins played well last week, but now is going to see the majority of his snaps against Kenny Clark, with some additional snaps from Dean Lowry. Lowry makes you work for it, and Clark is one of the more dominant interior names in the NFL. This will be a huge test for both.
