2. How can Chicago Bears get Cole Kmet and Darnell Mooney more involved

The biggest question the Chicago Bears had before the season was who would be their big playmakers. When Dante Pettis and Equanimeous St. Brown chipped in with a few plays week one the excitement built that they could scrap it together.

However, at some point, they would need Darnell Mooney and Cole Kmet to bounce back. The two did nothing in this game, combining for -4 yards. Darnell Mooney has two catches for four yards through two games.

Still, what hurts is that Mooney is outproducing Cole Kmet. Sure, by a while four yards, but Kmet has yet to catch a pass in the 2022 season. What happened to the Kmet who was used all over the place in the preseason?

If these two do not step up then the season is going to get longer and longer. ESB had 39 yards, and that is going to have him on pace for a career-year. They cannot expect guys like him to be the answer. It had to be Mooney and Kmet.

Part of it is on their talent, and part of it is on Luke Getsy. He is still new as a play caller, so this should be expected, but he also has to find a way to get his playmakers involved early in the game. If they do not get better performances from the players, but more help from the play-caller then the team is in trouble.
