Once again, it’s Monday, and it’s time to overreact about how the Chicago Bears performed in Week 2 against the Packers up in Lambeau on Sunday Night Football.

And there’s plenty to overreact about in this week.

Watching the Chicago Bears play the Packers in prime time is one of those annual traditions that some people love and some people hate.

The Chicago Bears shouldn’t play against the Packers in prime time

For Chicago Bears fans, this is annual torture, while Packers fans get to lick their lips for an easy win against their rival when the whole nation is watching.

If I were a Packers fan– oh, that wasn’t a fun thought experiment– this would be my favorite game of the year, no doubt.

However, for the Chicago Bears, it’s like watching reruns of Groundhog Day each year.

So, over the past 17 seasons, there have been 12 prime-time Packers wins against the Chicago Bears.

To make that even more painful of a stat for Bears fans, the combined score of the last eight prime-time matchups between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers favors the Packers 208-118.

The Packers have hung about 100 unanswered points–98 points exactly– on the Bears in the last eight seasons of prime-time matchups.

That’s just so tough of a stat to look at and take in fully for people who root for good football games on prime time.

Not only do Bears fans watch this nonsense, but it’s broadcasted for the entire nation to sink its teeth into.

And now that Twitter exists, overreactions are taken to the next level.

That was clear and evident when I woke up this morning after the Packers won, yet, another prime-time matchup against the Chicago Bears.

With overreactions flowing like the rivers of ancient Babylon, let’s get this Overreaction Monday started with one of the biggest issues from the Chicago Bears Week 2 performance against the Packers on prime time.
