We already discussed why the Chicago Bears’ stout defense should help an under bet against the Houston Texans, but there’s also value on the Bears to dominate as a favorite in Week 3. We’re planning to win regardless, though. So are the Bears, and here’s why they should annihilate Houston:

3 Reasons the Bears Will Dominate the Texans

Justin Fields > Davis Mills

Justin Fields already looks much better this year, now freed from the clutches of Matt Nagy’s offense. His dual-threat ability keeps defenses guessing, and he’s got a huge advantage over the limited Davis Mills.

Mills’ road woes should give Chicago a clear advantage.

Strong Defense

I’m encouraged by Chicago’s defense through two weeks. The rush defense isn’t great, but the pass rush looks electric and should force problems for Houston all day long.

After limiting Trey Lance to 13/28 passes for 164 yards in Week 1, the Bears sacked Aaron Rodgers three times and hit him on four other occasions Sunday night. As long as Chicago maintains pressure against Mills, the Bears are in great shape.

Home-Field Advantage

For all of Chicago’s struggles the last few years, the Bears are still particularly strong as home favorites. They’ve won six of seven as home favorites and covered the spread in three straight by an average of 9.17 points per game.

Houston, meanwhile, is 2-9 in its last 11 road games. It’s scored nine points or fewer in six of its last eight away from home. I trust Fields to get the Bears some points against a mediocre defense.

You can bet the Bears -9.5 at +250 odds, which would profit $2,500 on that $1,000 bet. Just make sure to claim your $1,000 free wager from FanDuel Sportsbook before it’s too late. If Chicago is going to obliterate the Texans, you might as well cash in on the victory.
