These are a few notable mentions the Chicago Bears could also consider

If none of these names fancy Ryan Poles, here are a few other names that the Chicago Bears could consider adding to the roster through free agency.

Chris Harris, CB

Another aging veteran cornerback the Chicago Bears could consider is Chris Harris. Harris has clearly taken a step back as he turned 33 this season. However, like Janoris Jenkins or Xavier Rhodes, Harris would bring some invaluable experience to the cornerback room.

Anthony Hitchens, LB

If Blake Martinez isn’t the answer, maybe the team looks to sign Anthony Hitchens instead. Hitchens has familiarity with both Ryan Poles in Kansas City and Matt Eberflus during his time in Dallas. I thought he’d be a solid offseason target and maybe now is the time to bring him in?

Eric Ebron, TE

Cole Kmet has yet to record a catch this season. Should the Chicago Bears bring in a receiving TE? Eric Ebron has had his ups and downs, but he also could make for a solid addition and is only 29 years old. Justin Fields could use all of the weapons he can get.

The Chicago Bears are obviously rebuilding, but they also need to see what they have in Justin Fields. It’s hard to do that with the run defense looking so bad and the passing game struggling so mightily. One or more of these free agents could help them improve the roster ever so slightly. None of these options would break the bank and won’t deplete much of their 2023 salary cap either. Would you prefer the Bears stand pat or look to add a new face or two to the roster?
