Despite the New York Giants’ loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football, the team may have received good news before their week four matchup against the Chicago Bears. While the Giants went through their first two games without their two starting edge rushers, both Azeez Ojulari and Kayvon Thibodeaux are expected to be suiting up for week four.

The duo played in week three as well, although both of them were limited. Azeez Ojulari took 30 snaps while Thibodeaux took 37. They rushed the passer 15 and 19 times respectively.

While it was just an introduction to the two, and it did not lead to a win, both of them played well, and both of them walked out of the game healthy. Now, against the Chicago Bears it may be time for the Giants to give their pass-rushing duo the green light.

What is interesting to note is that when they played, the duo moved around. Ojulari played the left tackle on 12 snaps, and the right tackle on 18, while Thibodeaux was on the left side for 20 snaps, and the right side for 15 snaps. He also was off of the ball as a linebacker for two snaps.

With that in mind, both Larry Borom and Braxton Jones will be put on notice. It is one thing when the Giants are rushing out Jihad Ward, Oshane Ximenes, and Tomen Fox. However, when you replace those names with Ojulari and Thibodeaux, the defense starts to get a lot more fierce, and all of a sudden the tackles will be in for a bigger fight than the previous three teams New York has played.

The last name to follow this week will be Leonard Williams. Williams missed the Monday Night Football game with a sprained MCL. By most accounts, that will likely have him out for the Chicago Bears game.

Still, if he does come back, it would be the first time that the Giants can unleash their four-man defensive line featuring Williams, Dexter Lawrence, Ojulari, and Thibodeaux. That is two top five picks, three first-rounders, and four top 40 draft picks getting after the passer.

Healthy has held this back, but we at least will see two big faces on Sunday.
