When the Chicago Bears take on the Washington Commanders Bears fans will get a good look at what a franchise in a similar spot to their team looks like. We all know that Chicago is going through a rebuild, but nobody has any clue what Washington is doing.

They have had a lot of shuffling and changes and this season has not gone the way that they want. So, here is a quick update on where they stand right now.

5. Washington Commanders Offensive Line Shuffling

The Washington Commanders should have Charles Leno, a familiar face at left tackle. He has done fine so far this season, but beyond that brings plenty of questions on the offensive line. Andrew Norwell should hold down the left guard spot but is coming off of one of the worst games of his career, and there is talk about benching the veteran who may be over the hill.

Still, the left side is their clean side. At the center, they lost both Chase Roullier, and Wes Schweitzer, so they are onto their third center Nick Martin. Because fans remember the name of Nick Martin and know his brother they think this is not an issue, but Martin was signed just a few weeks ago and was available for a reason.

Age is catching up to him, and beyond that, he is still just getting adjusted to the new scheme and quarterback. The growing pains were obvious for Martin on Sunday. At right guard, the team benched veteran Trai Turner for the younger player Saahdiq Charles. Charles in his third season and had been playing left tackle, and now he is thrust into playing right guard.

Then, there is right tackle where the team drafted Sam Cosmi, but he had surgery on his finger and is not expected to play. The team is expected to roll with Cornelius Lucas, a former backup for the Chicago Bears.

So, they are on a backup at right tackle and right guard, one by choice, and on their third-string starting center. The right side of their offensive line is a mess.
