4. Darnell Mooney

The Washington Commanders already ruled out William Jackson this week, and he was pulled early into the Titans game with a back injury. So, that has pushed Benjamin St. Juste from their slot cornerback to their outside corner, and it has Rashad Wildgoose in the slot.

Kendall Fuller is already right near Kyler Gordon is yards allowed this season. So, you are adding in playing St. Juste in a new position and adding a journeyman who was not drafted a few years back into the slot.

This really should be a pick-your-position situation for the Chicago Bears. Still, the Bears play Equanimeous St. Brown as their X wide receiver, and with the return of N’Keal Harry, it may turn Darnell Mooney into their slot wideout.

He is already lining up in the slot over 60% of the time this season with Luke Getsy, so it would be no big deal if it was kicked up a bit more. This would be the perfect time for the Chicago Bears to do it, as well.

This would get Mooney matched up against Wildgoose every time the untested slot cornerback Is on the field.

Justin Fields is realizing he can just throw it up to Mooney and see what happens, and in this matchup that could easily lead to success.
