The biggest issues with the Chicago Bears right now

Seems like there’s going to be a lot of repeating myself this season. Another week, another painful (embarrassing, to be honest) loss. For the second time this season, we’ve seen why the Chicago Bears are not a prime-time football team.

On Thursday Night Football, the Chicago Bears found themselves beating themselves as opposed to losing to the Washington Commanders. The game this week was arguably worse than the Week 5 game that saw the Colts beat the Broncos 12-9. That game didn’t involve a single touchdown. That wasn’t exactly the case in this game but the outcome was very similar as the Bears lost 12-7.

The Chicago Bears need to find ways to fix these problems

Although he did not play his best, I do not think Justin Fields deserves the blame for the Bears’ loss against the Washington Commanders. For whatever reason, the Chicago Bears fan base (generally speaking) has seemed to expect Fields to solve all of this team’s offensive troubles. Of course, he is athletically gifted and has progressed immensely as this season has gone on — although, it’s difficult to point that out coming off of embarrassing losses.

As we saw Thursday night, Justin Fields is a fierce competitor. Time after time, the second-year quarterback put his body and health on the line to make plays, to give his team a chance at winning. Which, to me, highlights the Bears’ biggest issue.
