3. Robert Quinn is a disappointment for Chicago Bears

We wrote this summer that Robert Quinn is an inconsistent player who hardly ever puts together multiple seasons of productivity. So far, he is living up to his long-held reputation. After 18.5 sacks this season he is now on pace for three.

His win rate and pass rush productivity are down. To be fair, he takes double teams a lot, and some of that has to do with a lack of fear brought by Al-Quadin Muhammad across from him. That is a bit different than Khalil Mack.

Some of it has to do with him playing a group of stud tackles, from Trent Williams to Christian Darrisaw, Andrew Thomas, and Laremy Tunsil.

Still, he just saw Charles Leno last night and did next to nothing. In fact, the Washington Commanders ran at him for the majority of the night.

Quinn is being asked to defend the run more than he has in recent years, and the combination of everything above has him playing his worst football. At moments you see flashes, but he is so up and down throughout his career, and we are now seeing the down.

Nobody saw him getting back to 18.5 sacks, but this is even more disappointing than we were thinking when we warned Chicago Bears fans that he may take a step back.
