3 moves Ryan Poles can make now to save the Chicago Bears in 2022
This team still needs help at the wide receiver position
Dante Pettis may have looked better vs the Commanders on Thursday, but let’s not get too comfortable here. Velus Jones has looked bad at returning punts, but he’s been electric with the ball in his hands on offense. Right now, we should be seeing Darnell Mooney, Equanimeous St. Brown and Velus Jones the most. To help Justin Fields and this team, even more, Ryan Poles should be looking to add help at receiver.
If a major trade isn’t an option and I can’t imagine it would be, then Ryan Poles should look to sign one of T.Y. Hilton or Will Fuller. We’ve brought up both already in the offseason and it doesn’t make sense for Poles to trade for one now either unless he’s swapping player for player. Both Hilton and Fuller could help bring a spark to this offense. I’m tired of seeing field goals or turnovers. I want to see more touchdowns.
These are three moves that Ryan Poles can make now to try and help Justin Fields and the offense. That said, there are also moves that the coaching staff can make to help too. I’ll touch on those in a separate article though. For now, let’s just focus on Poles.
