3. Will the Chicago Bears move Lucas Patrick to center?

Lucas Patrick has probably been the biggest disappointment when you talk about free-agent signings. The talk was that Patrick knew the Luke Getsy offense. He was going to be a veteran presence for Justin Fields but was still young to grow into the role with him.

So far he has not played a single snap at center. He has also been playing with a cast on his hand for the first four weeks. So, with a cast-off, and back at center, they could see Patrick at his best.

The reality is that at this point he cannot play worse. It is almost unfair to Patrick to keep asking him to play out of position. It was one thing when he has a cast on his hand and cannot snap a football.

Now that he does not, and he is struggling at guard, they have to make the switch. It is not like Sam Mustipher is winning the job with ease.

The team was going with continuity and that made sense at the time. Now, they have time to make the switch, and it would only make sense that they do it. If Patrick struggles at center they have serious problems. However, they at least owe him the shot.
