The Chicago Bears make one small change on the offensive line

When it comes to the offensive line, there are plenty of scenarios that could take place should the coaching staff wish to choose. In this scenario, the team decides to make one small change on the offensive line, but it could be all that’s needed to help shake things up for the better.

This combination would keep Braxton Jones at left tackle, Teven Jenkins at right guard and Larry Borom at right tackle. The big change would be benching Sam Mustipher and moving Lucas Patrick back to the position he was originally supposed to be playing this season. The problem here is that the team has struggled with blitz pickups and it was recently reported that Patrick did not call out blocking assignments. Instead, that came from Aaron Rodgers. This is not a good sign. The good news is that he has to be better than Mustipher either way.

With Lucas Patrick sliding over to the center spot, it would leave an opening at left guard. With Patrick moving over, the options at left guard would be Michael Schofield, Alex Leatherwood, who just came back from dealing with mono, and seventh-round rookie Ja’Tyre Carter. Schofield makes the most sense to me, but Leatherwood could also be a unique option. The offensive line would look something like this:

"Braxton Jones, LT Michael Schofield / Alex Leatherwood, LG Lucas Patrick, C Teven Jenkins, RG Larry Borom, RT"
