3. Should Kendrick Bourne fly home with Chicago Bears after MNF?

The Chicago Bears will be in New England, maybe they can pick up a wide receiver on their way and bring him back. Fans may not be quite as excited about Bourne as they are with other wideouts on the list, but this one may also be the one that Ryan Poles is most interested in.

Kendrick Bourne is usually a depth wide receiver, and he could be compared similarly to Equanimeous St. Brown. Still, he does a lot of the things the Bears ask of ESB, just better. ESB may be a better blocker, but the two are on par with each other.

Bourne is a better route runner, contested catch passer, and red zone option, though. So, we know the Chicago Bears have a role for him in mind, we see it every week. It is a small upgrade, but an upgrade for sure, and as noted, it could be nice for Justin Fields just to have more competence in the room.

Bourne has been a player that the 49ers and Patriots have been starting, so you know he can peg down the hard playbooks. The team could get him on Tuesday and see him play a bit the following Sunday.

Bourne missed last week with a toe injury and is questionable this week. Still, it is clearly not a long-term issue. Beyond that, the passing attack with Devante Parker, Jakobi Meyers, and Nelson Agholor has looked better with Bourne being phased out.

For the Chicago Bears, they could acquire Bourne for a cheap cost, and at least give Fields a bit more for the home stretch.
