Chicago Bears Key No. 3: Help your offense out on special teams

Too many times this offense is in a bad spot because of a bad return, and even a muffed punt which lost the team a crucial possession. The game is going to be hard enough, the team doesn’t need to start the drive at their own 18 in an already uphill battle. Just take the touchback if nothing is there — no need to force anything.

The Bears’ offense already has enough struggles. There is no need to give them more and force a return out of the back of your end zone. Also, KavonTae Turpin of the Cowboys is one of the most dangerous return men in the league, and quite honestly one of the best I have ever seen. He is lightning in a bottle. When the ball is in his hands, something bad is bound to happen to opposing teams. Keep the ball out of his hands, because he will burn someone soon, and hopefully it’s not the Chicago Bears.

Special teams coach, Richard Hightower, will have his hands full in this one. The team will need to stay disciplined while in coverage — making sure they stay in their spots and don’t get caught out of position. The good news is, this team has shown it is very disciplined thus far.
