3. Could Chicago Bears unload Dante Pettis?

This one may be underrated. The reality is that Dante Pettis slipped from the fourth wide out to the third with the emergence of N’Keal Harry. Beyond that, the team has to start finding ways to get their third-round rookie involved in the offense. If they give Velus Jones more snaps. now Pettis is moving down to wide receiver five.

He is the punt returner, but the team is hoping that someday Jones also takes that role. Beyond that, they have some punt return options. Still, Dante Pettis has improved his value since he signed on with the team.

He has run good routes and made plays off-script. He also has a couple of highlight catches. When you add the special teams value, perhaps a team is looking to complete their wide receiver corps with a trusted option who was just a third option for the first six weeks of the season.

For the Chicago Bears, they signed him for the minimum before the season. If they can get a conditional pick for him, it is a huge win based on the investment it took. It would help to move him, and turning a minimum signing into anything is magic. We will see if Ryan Poles can pull that off.
