Chicago Bears Most Likely to be an All-Pro Selection: Eddie Jackson, S

You could argue that Eddie Jackson is playing at the highest level of any safety in the NFL. He is tied for the league lead with four interceptions and has regained the signature playmaking abilities that made him one of the NFL’s most feared defensive backs during his incredible 2018 campaign.

The 28-year-old has often gotten criticized for his lack of effort in the running game, but that notion has been put to rest this season, as he is fifth amongst safeties with 58 tackles, which is even more impressive when you consider that most of his stops have been a result of him flying down from his center field spot. He has also been counted on to lay the lumber in the running game and already has two forced fumbles to show for it.

Some of Jackson’s success can be attributed to playing opposite strong safety Jaquan Brisker, who spends most of his time in the box, which has allowed him to thrive as a ballhawk in the middle of the field. He is on pace for a career-high in nearly every relevant statistic and is playing some of the best ball of his standout career. He has done more than enough to warrant All-Pro consideration through the first half of the season.
