Most Likely to have Evidence that Would Ruin Matt Eberflus’ Marriage: Sam Mustipher, IOL

Sam Mustipher is bad.. like, really bad. If there were one player to make you stop believing in the player grades (which get treated like gospel), that man would be Mustipher, who supposedly had a 100% pass block win rate through the first three games despite getting tossed around like a rag doll on multiple occasions. He has promptly stumbled back to earth (or, more appropriately, reality) since then, but the fact that the statistic existed in the first place is egregious.

Despite clearly being exposed as the team’s top weakness up front, the Notre Dame product has remained painfully relevant as a starter throughout the year. They finally decided to bench him against the Patriots, but that bold move lasted a grand total of ten snaps before he found himself back on the field after Lucas Patrick went down with an injury.

The team has dealt with injuries up front, which has made it tough to replace Mustipher. However, the faster they do so, the better off they will be, as he has proven to be a liability in every aspect of his game. With that said, it might be difficult for coach Eberflus to shop around for a quality marriage counselor during the season, so the benching will probably have to wait for the offseason (sigh).
