Eddie Jackson will lead the league in interceptions

As I already mentioned, Eddie Jackson has been playing lights-out football this season. He’s had what look to be mistakes on his part show up on film, but further investigating has proven it’s usually a mistake by one of the other defensive backs. Kyler Gordon has been one of those players and it’s expected for a second-round rookie who was thrown in with the wolves. Gordon has settled down nicely over the last four to five games though and looks to be coming into his own.

Jackson is one interception away from being tied for the lead with five interceptions. His four interceptions are currently tied with three others for second place. C.J. Gardner-Johnson currently is the leader but let’s not forget that Philadelphia already played this week. This leaves a golden opportunity on the board for Jackson to move up into a tie for first as well this week.

Either way, I have this strong suspicion that with the emergence of Jaquan Brisker next to Jackson, he will be able to play more freely this year. We have already seen it and it has amounted to the most interceptions he has had since 2018. Jackson might not be happy with losing two teammates before the trade deadline, but I don’t think he is done performing this year. This is why I’m giving him a bold prediction of owning the most interceptions by the end of the year.
