The Chicago Bears should not be a 3-7 team this season. The team should at worst be a 5-4 team on the year. They suffered a close loss to the Commanders that was lost due to a muffed punt. Then they had another close loss to the Giants that could have gone their way. The Bears had a legit shot at beating the Dolphins and now this loss to the Lions is just downright awful. The good news is that losing has its benefits too.

The problem is that losing can also become contagious. Young teams need to actually learn how to win at this level. It is not the same as at the high school and even collegiate levels. Players who make it to the NFL usually are the best or one of the best and wins are easier to come by. Now, these players are the best of the best and winning isn’t as easy. We keep hearing Matt Eberflus and Justin Fields talk about being able to finish games. This is what I am talking about. These young players and this team need to learn how to put opponents away and finish.

These five players are hurting the Chicago Bears on a weekly basis

When we look at the Chicago Bears roster, there are some players who have stood out more than others. This can be seen both in a positive and a negative way. Unfortunately, I am going to focus on the negative players at this time. These players were supposed to be consistently making a difference for this new regime but have either been making too many negative plays or not making plays at all.

Here are five players I have consistently been frustrated with on a weekly or near-weekly basis.
