Players Hurting the Chicago Bears: Armon Watts, DT

I told you that we can put almost every defensive lineman on this list. Armon Watts is just like Angelo Blackson — essentially invisible. Watts was waived by the Vikings this year and Chicago added him to the roster. Watts put up five sacks for the Vikings in 2021. He hasn’t recorded any for the Bears this season despite starting seven games. His tackle numbers are not any better with only 14 solos on the season.

Watts was supposed to help add to the pass rush behind Justin Jones. That hasn’t happened. The Chicago Bears are tied for 28th with only 15 sacks. Matthew Judon currently has 11.5 sacks just by himself for the Patriots this year.

I’m not going to add any other defensive linemen to this list because I could use them to make up the entire list. With all of these defensive linemen struggling for the Chicago Bears, it doesn’t matter how good the offense plays. I’m honestly surprised that Poles didn’t claim former Chargers defensive lineman Jerry Tillery.
