Players Hurting the Chicago Bears: Notable Mentions

I’m sure there are plenty of other names people will want to add to this list. Here are a few other names that I could see putting on this list because they have only had a few flashes instead consistent play.

Trevis Gipson, DE

This one is tough to add but Trevis Gipson has not been the player I was hoping to see this year. Coming off a strong seven-sack season, Gipson was supposed to maintain that level of play or even progress further. He only has two sacks this year and they came in Week 2. He’s playing the Leonard Floyd role this year — only racking up sacks vs the Packers and struggling every other week.

Dominique Robinson, DE

I told you that every defensive lineman could be on this list. As much as I enjoy what we have seen from Dominique Robinson, he’s still playing like a fifth-round rookie. He has brought plenty of pressure, but struggles to contain in the run game and is constantly overpursuing. He’s raw and his arrow is pointing way up though. Hopefully, he hits his ceiling.

Every wide receiver not named Darnell Mooney

When we look at the wide receiver group, every single one of them has struggled at some point. Even Mooney had a rough go to the start of the season but quickly regained his high level of play. Equanimeous St. Brown has struggled to catch the ball at times. Dante Pettis has struggled too. Even Chase Claypool hasn’t been superb since joining the team. N’Keal Harry hasn’t caught on yet either. This group is much improved with the addition of Claypool but needs drastic help for 2023.
