When Matt Eberflus met the media after a loss to the Atlanta Falcons, he was not sure what the status of his quarterback was. He said that he would not rule out Justin Fields for the entire season. Of course, like anyone, your tone can change with more information. By the next day, the medical team had more information, and the Chicago Bears quarterback has reportedly felt a lot better.

With that all said, Justin Fields has been cleared to practice. He was also given a practice designation of limited. Now, that does not mean that Fields is going to play this week, but it does mean that we will see Fields again this season.

Chicago Bears will play Justin Fields again this season

Some fans are worried about the health of Fields, but if he is already cleared to play, the injury is more likely a minor scare than anything. While the risk of him being injured will be there during a meaningless season, Fields deserves to get the chance to play and grow.

Beyond that, Fields has shown that he is a leader and that he is tough. If the doctors tell him that he is healthy, then no one is going to tell Justin Fields that he is not going to play. One of his greatest attributes as a leader is his toughness, and the extra respect he will earn by finishing the season with his brothers will go far.

While some fans will be nervous, we should trust the coaching staff on this one. If anything, they have been extra cautious with any injury situation that they have faced this season. When needed, Teven Jenkins, David Montgomery, Kindle Vildor, Jaylon Johnson, Larry Borom, and more were all held out extra long out of caution.

The Bears have also done a great job of sitting players who are not healthy enough to get a full week of practice in. If Fields does not get a full week in, the team may practice extra caution and sit him out for one week.

However, if you know Justin Fields, he is going to be racing to get on the practice field against the Green Bay Packers. If Fields is cleared, and he practices, then the fans and coaches cannot worry about what may happen on the football field. We are going to see Justin Fields suit up for the Chicago Bears again this season.
