3. Chase Claypool could excel after Chicago Bears’ bye week

Sometimes when you get traded, you get an extra bye week, but sometimes you lose your bye week. Robert Quinn simply will not have a bye week this season, but Chase Claypool was traded during his bye week.

So, on the day before he was set to fly away for some time off, he instead moved to Chicago and played. Then, he had to hit the ground running. Talk about a change in mentality. Not to say that Claypool has been coasting, but that bye week was right in front of him, and he had to be thinking of that time off for about a month now.

Claypool has been working hard to get into the mix and has just started to get a full snap share last week. It is valuable that Claypool will get a game with Justin Fields now that he is fully into the offense.

The two can take what they learn against Green Bay into the bye week, and hope that Claypool comes out of the bye much more rested, and much more integrated into the playbook. This could be a big win for both sides.
