5 Chicago Bears looking forward to the bye week
2. Nicholas Morrow leads Chicago Bears defense in snaps
Nicholas Morrow has played 742 snaps on defense this season. Meanwhile, the next closest is Eddie Jackson with 698. Nicholas Morrow missed one snap against the New England Patriots, and it was because of an equipment issue, not for any significant reason. You can essentially say that Morrow has been there for every snap on this defense that has been quite the adventure.
While the defense has not been good, Morrow has been one of the few bright spots. He plays fast, he tackles well, and he plays to his role. He is just being asked to do more than you would typically want from a player such as Morrow.
With that in mind, he is probably ready for a break. Morrow did not play last season and is coming off of an injury. From a whole year away to every snap for 13 straight weeks is quite the marathon run for Morrow. With all of the work he has been getting, he has to be ready for a much-needed bye week this late into the season.
