Chicago Bears Pick No. 156: Joe Tippmann, C – Wisconsin

More offensive line help is on the way. Joe Tippmann in the fifth round would be a nice addition. Between Tippmann and Doug Kramer coming off of injured reserve, I’d have to think that the Chicago Bears would be happy with that competition/pairing. Sam Mustipher has been playing better as of late and could also be back in the fold in 2023. I say you line these three up and see who comes out as the cream of the crop. Lucas Patrick can just be cut for what it’s worth.

Joe Tippmann is 6’6″ and 315 pounds. He has great strength and can take on bull rushes from quick, strong defensive tackles. I don’t think you’d see him thrown around like a rag doll. Tippmann is a high-motor guy too. Matt Eberflus will like his work ethic and I don’t foresee him having many loafs.

Chicago Bears Pick No. 197: Deshawn Pace, LB – Cincinnati

With the Chicago Bears’ final selection of the 2023 NFL Draft, the team selects Deshawn Pace. Pace should make for a solid depth piece and special teams player. He isn’t as good of a prospect as his brother Ivan Pace, Jr., but he should find plenty of opportunities to prove himself. Look at Jack Sanborn, Pace could easily follow in a similar role. The only difference is that Pace should at least be drafted.
