1. Did Chicago Bears find a gem in Jack Sanborn

You knew that we could not get through this list without hitting on Jack Sanborn. Since the Roquan Smith trade, many fans are saying Roqaun, who? Okay, so the defense is not much better on paper. Still, they lost more than just Smith, and the play of Sanborn is more about the potential than it is about the impact right now.

Sanborn is playing with his fire, but he also has been getting better ever week. Early on he was jumping things and missing his reads in coverage. Now, he is playing more patent and staying in his zone. Still, he has times when he trusts his instincts and attacks at full speed. The combination is what you want.

Sanborn is playing well regardless of his draft status, but if the Chicago Bears can get anything out of a UDFA it is a huge win. Nicholas Morrow has been fine too, so on a roster with hole after hole, it would be comforting to know that linebacker may be not the most pressing issue.
