3. Have we seen the end of Angelo Blackson with the Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears have been phasing Angelo Blackson out of this defense for about a month now. The question now is more about what they are waiting for to release him.

The team signed Andrew Brown off of the Cardinals practice squad, and he played more than Blackson Sunday. That is a player from a different practice squad with just a few days of getting accustomed to the new team.

They had been cutting the snaps of Blackson already, but that was the obvious sign that his days have to be numbered. Heading into the bye week it is hard to see them going back to Blackson, and much easier to assume that they will spend this time completely shifting to Brown as the fourth IDL.

From there, Blackson would just be a special team asset. Still, that is an area that Brown could obviously pick up if he is just going to step into the role.  With Blackson having no real role, the question becomes how long he stays on the team because the Chicago Bears might as well use this time to try to find another player from a different practice squad. If Blackson stays through the year, he is gone once the season ends.
