1. Did Braxton Jones get better after a needed week off?

If anyone needed the bye week, it was Braxton Jones. Every rookie plays a much longer schedule when you consider their season would be over by now. Still, how many rookies went 12 straight weeks, missing no snaps, and not having a bye week at all in that run?

That does not happen much because not many teams have a bye week this late, even historically. Then, even fewer rookies play every snap up until this point. With that in mind, you have to respect the ability to stick it out for Jones. You also better believe he feels better after this week.

The last couple of games have likely been about surviving for Braxton Jones. Now that he is rested, and can take a little time to reflect on his play, we may finally see some growth in the final month of the season.

Most rookies improve off of the bye week, and after the large sample size of work he got, the time to utilize what he learned will be now. The Chicago Bears should view this final month under a fine tooth comb, and see just where he made strides, and where he is still struggling after this much-needed break.
