If there is one weakness and hole in the Philadelphia Eagles, it’s the inability to stop the run. Heading into Week 15, the Eagles rank 24th in opponent yards per carry, allowing 4.7 yards per rush.

Now, they face a Chicago Bears team who, if nothing else, has the best running offense in the entire NFL.

Is it going to be enough to at least keep the game close against the projected number one seed in the NFC? Let’s dive into the odds.

Eagles vs. Bears Odds, Spread, and Total

Eagles vs. Bears Betting Trends

  • Eagles are 8-4 ATS in their last 12 games
  • The OVER is 7-1 in the Eagles’ last 8 games
  • Eagles are 5-0 straight up and ATS in last five games against Bears
  • Bears are 1-5 ATS in their last six games
  • The OVER is 7-0 in the Nears’ last seven games
  • The UNDER is 4-1 in the Bears’ last five games against NFC East opponents

Eagles vs. Bears Prediction and Pick

No team runs the football more than the Bears, with 58.63% of their called plays being run plays. On the same note, no team runs the ball more successfully than the Bears, who average 5.4 yards per carry, 0.2 more yards per rush than the next best team.

That should make the Eagles nervous. They’ve struggled to stop the run all season and when teams have been competitive with them, it’s been when they have found success on the ground.

That may not be enough for the Bears to overcome a much more talented and skilled roster, but it might be enough for them to be more competitive than some people expect.

With the point spread set all the way up at nine points, I’m willing to take the points with the Bears. Chicago could play the role of spoiler on Sunday.
