The next four weeks of the Chicago Bears’ regular season is all about them finding out things for the future. With that said, there are going to be some jobs that are won where Ryan Poles look back and say that the final month of the season may have been what solidified things. With that in mind, who are some players that could be riding high if they play well?

5. Will Nicholas Morrow start for Chicago Bears next season?

The Chicago Bears have to like what they got out of Nicholas Morrow this season. They signed him to a cheap deal on a prove-it contract because he was coming off of a 2021 year when he did not play at all. From that, he has now only missed one snap this season. If he stays healthy, it will be an interesting discussion regarding his role moving forward.

The Chicago Bears know he fought back from injury and could be physically better next season. He now knows the defense and has been calling plays. He is not a strength of the defense, but you could argue with better pieces around him, Morrow could be a solid starter in the middle of a good defense. He makes tackles, he does not have busts in coverage, and while he is not an impact player, he is certainly viewed as reliable.

Morrow will be a free agent, so another team may like him slightly more. Still, that story is yet to be written. If Morrow can string together some good weeks, he could make himself some money, or at the least ensure that he is starting, whether it be with the Chicago Bears, or somewhere else next year.
