Chicago Bears Mock Draft, Pick No. 258: Johnny Wilson, WR (Florida State)

Standing 6-foot-7, weighing in at 235 pounds is this absolute monster of a man, Johnny Wilson.

You read that correctly. 6-foot-7. As in five inches shorter than 7-foot-flat.

While Wilson doesn’t have burner speed or crazy separation, having a 6-foot-7 build is something this Chicago Bears offense could use.

Wilson, given how low in the draft this is, isn’t the receiver that will compete with Justin Jefferson for Offensive Player of the Year each season, but he’s a big, physical receiver that’s also a good perimeter blocker in the run game.

Considering how much the Bears ran this season, and likely will continue to run with Justin Fields as their quarterback, having a huge receiver on the perimeter that can block is huge.

Not only can he block well, but he’s an incredibly physical receiver that is consistently a matchup nightmare.

Rarely will a corner be close to Wilson’s 6-foot-7, 235-pound stature. Sure, Wilson has to tighten some screws when it comes to being an NFL-level receiver, but with pick No. 258, it’s more than worth the gamble.
