Chicago Bears land a top prospect in full seven-round 2023 mock draft

Chicago Bears Mock Draft, Pick No. 65: Jack Campbell, LB (Iowa)
With the departure of Roquan Smith, as well as just the need for a linebacker, the Chicago Bears could absolutely use a Jack Campbell in their defense.
As a winner of the 2022 Dick Butkus Award, it only makes sense for him to come to the Chicago Bears, where Dick Butkus made a name for himself in historic fashion.
Not only did Campbell play incredibly well this season, but it was acknowledged by his peers. Winning the Dick Butkus Award as the nation’s top linebacker should only make the Chicago Bears want him even more.
Oh, he also won the Nagurski-Woodson Award, too, so you could say he’s pretty good at defense.
On top of the two athletic feats, Jack Campbell was the NFF Campbell Award winner too, which is awarded to the athlete with the best combination of academics, community service, and on-field performance.
This Bears team has a handful of needs, and Jack Campbell fits the need for a stout linebacker— whether he takes over for Jack Sanborn in the middle, or even if he plays the Roquan Smith will linebacker spot.
Standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 246 pounds, Campbell is really well-built to be a punisher in the middle of the field, while he’s also speedy enough to make plays on the edge.
All-in-all, Jack Campbell to the Bears just makes too much sense.
