Chicago Bears Mock Draft, Pick No. 133: Owen Pappoe, LB (Auburn)
Defensive pick again?
Yep!
This time, filling the other linebacker position that Jack Campbell doesn’t.
Based on what Pappoe does well, it’d seem like he’d play the strong-side backer position, as that fits his game a bit better than weak-side.
Standing 6-foot-1 and weighing in at 225 pounds, he’s a bit small for a linebacker, however, he’s a speedster. Pappoe also plays much bigger than he truly is.
In terms of physical tools, there aren’t many ILBs in 2023 draft class that have what @AuburnFootball’s Owen Pappoe has…so Twitter handle (@TheFreak) fits. Rocked & twitched-up w/ 6’7” wingspan at only 6-feet tall. Want to see him use 4.4 speed to fly to ball more this year. pic.twitter.com/zqMjUuJk7C

Pappoe was reported to run a 4.47 40-yard dash, which is incredibly fast for a linebacker.
For context, Justin Fields’ 40-yard dash time was 4.44. If Chicago Bears fans know one thing, it’s that Justin Fields can move.
He might not be a perfect prospect, but at pick No. 133, getting someone with starting potential would be huge for a team like the Bears, who have as many holes as they do across the roster.
